It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that, for the foreseeable future, our rowing boats and pedaloes will not be operating. Unfortunately, the excessive pond weed and algae in the lake make it impossible to safely row or pedal a boat. This has been an ongoing issue for years and one that we have repeatedly raised with North Tyneside Council. While we operate the boats, we are not responsible for maintaining the lake. Its upkeep is the responsibility of North Tyneside Council. We're incredibly sorry to disappoint everyone who enjoys the boating lake. If you'd like to support us, we'd really appreciate you contacting North Tyneside Council to let them know how important this attraction is to our community.
